Nitalia Conti distributes handmade blankets, hats at hospital
There are lots of things Nitalia Conti will do during the coming week while she’s in Memphis — eat Southern food, cheer at today’s St. Jude Memphis Marathon and attend tonight’s holiday parade Downtown.
But on Friday, Nitalia, 13, was at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. There, the Arizona teen and her family distributed more than 100 blankets and hats, handmade by her grandmother and a legion of other family members, friends and even total strangers.

WOW! WOW! WOW! What an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G WALK it was! The outpouring of GOD’s LOVE through every person in our community just tugs and tugs at your heart strings! From the beginning when we sent out the emails notifying everyone of The St. Jude Give Thanks Walk and how Sequoya Elementary School was on board full speed in every direction! Thanks to Mrs. Spilman with her huge heart and great ideas for St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital to be their charity! Along with Mrs. Spilman, Mrs. Cyr was on the phone going beyond the call of duty making sure everyone’s involved, WOW can they make things happen and we love them and their outpouring of God’s love! Even Nurse Mary was involved getting people involved! Mrs. Miller ran with it and the entire Student Council! They had red t-shirts made “Sequoya Walks on Nitalia’s Team” Read more
