WOW! WOW! WOW! What an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G WALK it was! The outpouring of GOD’s LOVE through every person in our community just tugs and tugs at your heart strings! From the beginning when we sent out the emails notifying everyone of The St. Jude Give Thanks Walk and how Sequoya Elementary School was on board full speed in every direction! Thanks to Mrs. Spilman with her huge heart and great ideas for St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital to be their charity! Along with Mrs. Spilman, Mrs. Cyr was on the phone going beyond the call of duty making sure everyone’s involved, WOW can they make things happen and we love them and their outpouring of God’s love! Even Nurse Mary was involved getting people involved! Mrs. Miller ran with it and the entire Student Council! They had red t-shirts made “Sequoya Walks on Nitalia’s Team” and sold them every chance they got! They worked tirelessly for our girl and all of the children of St. Jude, we love Mrs. Miller and all the kids from Student Council! What a site to see the whole school was all a buzz for St. Jude and Team Nitalia with $ going right to St. Jude on Team Nitalia! Mrs. Lee made sure the PE Department’s Charity this year was the Give Thanks Walk Team Nitalia, so she got the whole entire school involved with raising $ and awareness, going door to door collecting $ and spreading the word! She had the PE Thermometer bulletin board to watch how much money was being raised for Team Nitalia, we love Mrs. Lee! Sequoya even had the Team Nitalia Spirit Day when the whole school wore the Nitalia t-shirts, the “Sea of Red” was such a touching, beyond words, beautiful day full of support and God’s Love! We were on our way to an outstanding, breathtaking Walk!!! Cocopah Middle School, and Student Council were notified and they were on board also, having blue t-shirts made saying “Cocopah Walks on Nitalia’s Team” raising $ and awareness by selling these awesome shirts, and collecting $ for Team Nitalia! Even Mrs. Burau and the Cocopah Strings Department were at the Walk bright and early performing before it started! Thanks Cocopah and all the kids of Student Council, love you guys! Mrs. Goldberg and Amanda notified Horizon High School Clubs and we also notified Chapparrel High School Clubs and they were all on board for this Walk! This whole community had become a part of the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital Family! We are so BLESSED to be a part of such an incredible community! On November 21, 2009, the Paradise Valley Mall was packed with the Sea of Red and Blue supporting Nitalia and St. Jude! Phoenix was #2 in the whole country with 846 walkers, and raised $30,000 – a considerable difference from last years last on the list! We thank you ALL for being such a HUGE part of the success of this great Walk! GOD is so Great, we Love HIM and Praise HIM! Keep praying for Nitalia and opening the heavens and keep doing HIS work! God Bless you all!
