Hi Everyone!
We just got some really Big News. Dr. Kun (my radiation/oncologist) told us that my last treatment will be on Wednesday, February 11th!!! I am so happy that I will be coming home soon! I still have some things that I need to finish here, so we still have a few more weeks! Everyone here was so excited for me when they heard about Wednesday. Miss Laura said she doesn’t know what she is going to do without me everyday, but she is so happy and proud of me. I miss everyone back home and cant wait to see you all. I will write when I know the date I will be home.
This calls for a celebration!!!!!!!!!

Where do we start? That video was beautiful, amazing, touching and downright made us cry. I will be watching that every time I come to the site. Which is daily. I hope your week is starting off good. I am praying for the next few week to fly by so we can have you home in AZ. It is so ugly here today. Not at all like we are usto. It is only in the 50′s and it is raining. Tiff and Uncle Mike and Adrianna don’t feel good. Tiff has bricontas. I think Adriana is just gettig teeth. Yee hah for your last treatment. What a trooper you have been Nitalia. I had cancer and remember everything I went through as an adult, and how scared I was. I was in Houston Texas for 3 months. I sure did miss all my family, my friends, and my dogs! How excited you must feel to know you are in the home stretch, and soon you will be back in Phoenix surrounded by everyone who loves you so. Your only job is to heal. There are so many people who love you and your family, and cannot wait to celebrate with you.
What a journey for you! You will never look at life the same! You will enjoy every minute, laugh louder and longer, and not let any silly stuff get you down. You are a survivor sweet girl!!!

As I sat in the RO waiting room today, and saw your dad playing “We are the champions” for you before you went in, I was brought to tears. And seeing you come out after your final treatment – Nitalia, it was such a special moment for all of us waiting in that waiting room.

Everyone seems to fall in love with you wherever you go and I do know why, YOU are so easy to love. It was so great to talk to you and hear how strong and happy you are on this occasion. My parents are visiting Phoenix and I have been remiss in writing but not thinking about you all. You have been in our prayers every night. I cannot tell you how special it was to hear your voice the other day. You are an amazing person and such a beautiful spirit. We could not be happier for your arrival back to Arizona.
I am sure the trumpets blared today at the hospital when you were done with treatment. However, I am sure it is a bitter sweet ceremony for the doctors and nurses so happy with the amazing accomplishments but sad that you will not be coming in to the hospital to brighten every ones day. You will have to keep them posted on the blog and we will take care of you here and they will have to get updates via your blog. I am sure they will be calling often to get their daily dose of The Conti’s. We are the Champions would be an awesome song for your dads next video. Well tomorrow is Valentine’s Day and Cupid has reared his heart shaped head again. Aliza Jane is going out with Charlie and its a surprise – we don’t know where he’s taking her. Billy and his Pancreas couldn’t care less about Valentines Day – its Presidents Weekend and all he cares about is 3 DAYS AND NO SCHOOL – don’t blame him a bit! Giffy decided not to go to the Sweethearts Dance because “no one else was going” – aka nobody asked her!!! Aunt Meese is working her hearts off tonite and tomorrow nite – it’s gonna be CRAZY!!!! Well, it’s 1:30 AM on valentine’s day and finally, my computer, printer, and sound were finally fixed. {I noticed though. that they forgot to include the spell check on my system–not good}. Once again, these “smart friend” technicians, tend to fix one problem, then create another one or two more. Well, after speaking with and working with Monju, Manish, Rosjon, Marukh, Sakshi, and Presithe, from India—my computer seems to be in good working order. That is the reason why you have not heard from me, my darling. But, I heard about your fabulous lab reports–WOW, WOW,WOW, you make my heart jump for joy knowing that you are doing so well. Thank you, Lord, for your glorious, miraculous power!! Today, I heard that your school work, as usual, is outstanding and that you are ahead in math. Congratulations! Pop would be so proud of you, since math was one of his favorite and best subjects. Count me out, however, my math skills need a great deal of very hard, intense work. Aviona and Isabella are working hard on their school work as well–good for them!! Well today is valentine’s day, I hope all of you have a day full of love, delicious sweets, luscious candies, lots of hugs and kisses, and fun, fun, fun. Knowing Daddy and Mommy, they will make sure you all have a fabulous time. They are experts in finding special ways to have a good time. I love the idea that you are doing ceramics, which is so creative and theraputic. It’s a wonderful activity for quiet relaxation. This must have been the most FABULOUS week since you have been in Memphis. WOOHOO!!!!! All finished with RT,YIPPEE!!! Boy oh boy, will the therapists miss seeing you bright eyed and bushy tailed everyday. Always remember, you can occassionally go back to visit them. I go to see my Radiation oncologist and all of his staff at least every couple of months, just to say hi and thank them for taking such good care of me. You will forever have a place in your heart for all of those who have helped you along your journey. Well, you may have big plans today, after all it is Valentine’s Day!!! I just finished making Mr. Blecker and my two other Valentine’s heart shaped pancakes for breakfast. Yummy, Yummy. I couldn’t convince them to cook for me…maybe next year…!!! Tell Aviona and Isabella, your Mom and Dad I said hello and Happy Valentine’s Day!!!!!! I will write to you again soon….have a FABULOUS week!!!

Happy Valentine’s Day!!!!! It was an incredible week! Daddy kept playing we are the Champions on his iphone before my last treatment, and him and mommy kept singing it to me! When I walked out for the last time of RT, Everyone in the RT waiting room applauded me and cheered me! It was an awesome moment, some tears too. I got a trophy, I’ll show it to you when I get home, it’s real pretty. I love Valentine’s day too! We just had our heart shaped breakfast, I helped mom the whole time. Aunt Meesi is my mom’s sister, Marisa. She is hilarious and lots of fun! When we go to Nan’s house in NJ, she always puts candy under our pillows. She came to Memphis for a visit with my cousins, mom’s gonna put those pictures up soon. You would love her, she’s funny and doesn’t really know it! Thanks for doing the hike for me, I loved that everyone did that for me! I miss you! Give all my friends a hug for me!

It was a great week!!! Especially Wednesday!!! It was really special when I walked out for the last time and everyone clapped and cheered, and hugged me! Hope you had a great weekend and a Cupidful Valentines Day! Well, it’s Monday AGAIN!!! – YUCK!!! Aunt Meesi did NOT want to get up for work this morning cause all the sugarplumbs were still drooling in their beds! Yep, thats right its Presidents Day and nobody went to school and most people had off today but NOT Aunt Mees – nope, no rest for the weary
I can’t complain, I had a fantabulous weekend!! Aunt Mees is flush (thats a Pop word) today after working Friday and Saturday nites. Don’t get too excited, I just made enough to pay the bills for the week and then I’ll be back in short pants. Technically Aunt Meesi’s version of short pants is Daisy Dukes – I know, I know what a picture!! Anywho, it was so wonderful talking to you on Valentines Day – I hope you enjoyed your heart and lip shaped pancakes!!! You know Aunt Meesi sure would have. On Sunday Andy (what a great name) and I went to Cape May for the day. We walked along the beach and the jetty and watched the ferries. It was quite chilly and very romantical!! The BEST part of the day was when we went to dinner. My oh my Peach, we had seafood for dinner and I dove in head first! We started with 40 (YES 40) steamed shrimp – ate em ALL. Then 15 steamed clams – Mommy would have loved them – ate em ALL. For the finale – 2 lbs of crab legs and yes you guessed it ATE EM ALLLLL!! The server was in awe!! It was awesome and now I’ve made myself hungry – AGAIN!!! Well I gotta get back to work!!! Keep on keepin on my little mustard seed!!! Please give my love to all especially my sweet Peachettes!!! We miss you all more than you know and love you even more than that!!!

So happy that you had a very relaxing and casual Valentine’s Day. By the way, how delicious were those “designer” pancakes of hearts and lips? Your day seemed to be a day anyone in the world would have loved with little cares and just plain restful. We all need days like that, although I can’t complain my days are mostly enviable. Retirement for me is an oversized gift of love. More and more I hear of your wonderful capabilities, regarding tossing the ball with your left hand, buttoning and zipping clothing, buckling up your seatbelt, etc., etc. I just can’t get over how quickly you have gained control and mastered that left hand with sheer perfection. YOU take charge so well!! AMAZING, my Darling! Please thank Miss Jessica for working her magic with you. I just love her because I have heard so much about her. Of course, we thank our dear Lord for His perfect powerful blessings. He is our all-in-all and we marvel over His magnificent presence and His sheer goodness. Today, was a busy day of schoolwork–I know your darling sisters are working their little hearts out to keep up with their studies. And you are so helpful with their needs as well. Wow – I was soooooooooo happy to hear from you!!! Well thats it – My Elvis and his blue suede shoes are lonely – FOR ME – I’ll be on the next plane to Memphis. We just can’t have that!!! – I WISH my Iddy Biddy, BOY do I WISH I could come back to Memphis!!! I just loved Tennessee – especially because we were all together – EVERYDAY!! It is gorgeous here in central Florida today. And as always when the sun is shining I think of you all down there , or I guess technically it is over there, in Tenn. Imet a woman on Saturday whose son was treated at St. Judes when he was ten. He is now sixteen and doing great. What a wonderful story and what great people are taking care of you , Nitalia. I too loved the Munsters and like your Aunt Meesi , thought Marilyn was so boring. In fact when I was in school I dated a guy that drove a hearst. Your great-grandmother was appalled. Believe me: you’ll be back home before you can say “Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” (it’s a Beatles song whose title only takes 2 seconds to say). I am so glad the people of Memphis are kind and compassionate to you (just like you!)! You will forever be in their hearts, minds, and souls. I am teaching Daniel the songs we’ll be playing at the concert so that he can perform, but he is constantly procrastinating and I keep bugging him to keep practicing. Your dad’s poster was GORGEOUS! Always remember what my mom says to me: “Every day is going to be a good day.”

Sweet Nitalia! I have missed seeing you and hope you have (or have had a safe trip) back home! I hate I missed seeing you off last week. I was taken off work due to my pregnancy and didn’t have a chance to tell you and your family goodbye. I know I will be seeing you when I return to work and when you come in for your follow-ups.

Today in New Jersey, it is rainy, cold, and a rather bleak day for everyone but me. I love a cloudy, cold, rainy day! Sometimes I wonder where in the world I come from–no one I know ever feels that way. I love when it is bitter cold outside, but cozy and warm inside. Well, today I spoke to you on the phone and you sound so content and full of pride in yourself. And so, you should be, since you have accomplished so many different activities in OT and PT, which sound like more than I could EVER do. Your eye-hand coordination with your left hand and the balance techniques you do, seem rather demanding and difficult. But, you do them with confidence and great ease, Mom tells me. I thought the balancing activities seem the most difficult, but not for you. BRAVO!!! Thank you Dear Jesus for Your perfect healing touch. We love You and praise You for hearing our prayers. I love the additional pictures of the Tennessee Angels on your site. It’s nice to put a face on these wonderful people who help you and so often hear about frequently. I must tell you that many, many parishners from my church are praying for you. When I see them, before they even greet me, they say, ” How is Nitalia? I’m telling everyone I know to pray for her.” Nothing makes me happier than to hear how much they care about you. I thank God for the goodness of all of these loving people. Wow what an amazing and touching video. We are all so happy that you will be able to come home soon. Each night when we say our prayers we say one for you and your family. Well anywho I just had to squeeze a minute out of my Linda Blair Day just to tell you how AMAZING you are! I know, I know you already know that! I’m counting down the minutes til 5:00 cause guess what – I DON”T have to work tonite – WHOOO HOOO!! I am making chicken cutlets for dinner – my specialty!!! Aliza Pinkster invited Charlie over and Billy and his pancreas are going to the Flyers game tonite with “Andy” (nice name huh?) and of course The Giffer will be there front and center!! It should be wonderful, the only thing missing is YOU my darling!! Well you and of course the Peachettes and Mom and Dad!! I hope your belly feels better – did you guys get the Saltines – I’m telling you, they really do work!! I left a message for Mr. Palaschak and told him how much you love the bracelet and how you say the prayer many times a day – he will be touched. He’s like an M & M – hard candy outer layer but warm and chocolatey inside! Well gotta go Peach the dinosaur is waiting outside for me to slide down his neck!! Just popping in to send you some love via cyberspace. We are all so excited about your homecoming, we can not wait. We miss you and your sisters sooo much. I know your mom and dad can’t wait to come back home and settle back into your home. I told the poodles that you will be coming home soon and they barked and jumped around like crazy. I know they understand what I am saying to them, and since I speak french I told them in french too, just incase they have trouble with english, being french poodles and all lol
We have lots of puppies here at my house so check out my website later this week and I will have all the pictures up in the cocker nursery. Nanny has the little fuzz ball ShihTzu’s and Oh My Goodness are they cute, so when you come home you and your sisters are going to have to give them names. I can’t speak chinese so I just tell them (in english) that they will get names when you get home. Good thing my cockers are American Cocker Spaniels, I don’t have to talk to them in a foriegn language lol.
We are all going to the benifit concert on Thursday night, except for Nina, she is going on a school trip to LA, with her HS fashion design class/club. They are visiting the big fashion design school there and then they are going to see the Kodak theater where they filmed the oscars, she is so excited, but sad that she is going to miss the concert. She and Thomas send their love and can’t wait for you to get home quick. Rita sends her love, and wait till you see all the colors in her hair, she looks like a rainbow lol, she certainly is having fun in Beauty School, experimenting with all the cool stuff she can do with her hair. You know Rita, she always has to stand out in a crowd
John will be taking care of the poodles when Nanny and Pop come out to see you guys in March, so you know that they will get plenty of playtime with him. He goes to mass almost daily to light candles and pray for you, but don’t tell him I told you cause he thinks it is a big secret lol. He sends his love and well wishes to you too.

When I think of complaining about this or that, I instantly think of you and change my thoughts to positive and loving energy that I instantly send out into the universe to find you and your family. He is a famous cellist, his music is amazing to meditate to, if you can download some of his music from Itunes, do it, it is super to just relax and chill out to. Also check out itzhak perlman, he is a famous violinist, my favorite CD is his music to the movie Shindlers list. You can probobly download it from Itunes as well, Something about that music that just takes hold of your soul, it is another get one to meditate/pray with or just relax and let your mind and heart dance.

I am tryping this right from my book:
I was just reading in my hand reflexology book trying to find something that you can do to try and relieve your upset stomach. Then the light bulb went off in my old brain lol. This is easy to do and you can do it anywhere
Apply gentle pressure to the reflex points on your hand, using the thumb roll technique…
To reflex points on your left palm, place the fingers of your right hand on the back of you left hand.
Place the pad of your right thumb on your left palm.
Squeeze gently, pressing in with the thumb. Maintain that pressure.
As you press, bend the thumb so that the tip slowly rolls forward and downward.
Maintaining contact between the right thumb and left palm, straighten the thumb so that it inches forward perhaps one-eighth of an inch over the surface of the reflex area.
Repeat this thumb rolling movement, gradually working over the entire reflex area.
Use the same technique to work reflex points on the palm or fingers. To work reflex points on your right hand, of course, perform the thumb roll with your left hand.
Each of the following reflexology mini-sessions should be done for at least five minutes. Work a broad area around the specified reflex points
STOMACH UPSET
The soft portion of the palm on both hands-below the big knuckles-contains many reflex points for the digestive system.
The stomach reflex points are mostly on the left palm. For stomach upset and heartburn, use the thumb roll to work the soft palm just underneath the large knuckles at the base of the index, middle and ring fingers. Work lightly, gradually as the tissue softens, working deeper, increasing the pressure a little at a time, using nurturing, pleasing pressure.
Try it and see if it works for you. I hope it does

Well I am just taking a break from helping Nina pack her over night bag for her big trip to LA tomorow morning. She is so excited to be going to the fashion design school there. I am sure when she comes back she will be telling me that she is going to move to los angeles and become a famous fashion designer lol. I wish I could go with her class, but when you are 17 you don’t want your mom as the chaperone :0P. Nina is such a trip, she is taking snacks for the plane ride and bringing snacks/food to keep in the hotel room so that she doesn’t have to waste money on food, and can use her money to shop lol. That’s Nina the shopping queen!
I hope you tried the hand reflexology technique that I sent you, it should help and you can even have your mom or dad do it for you, sometimes that is easier and it feels really good too lol.
We can’t wait for you to come home and we are getting ready to go to the concert tomorow night. I have to groom fast so I don’t get stuck at the doggie day spa and not have enough time to get home and shower off all the puppy fuzz before the big concert
Rita is at a concert tonight with her friends, the show started at 7pm and she of course was still running around the house with curlers in her multi colored hair and in her PJ’s at 6:00 yelling that she has nothing to wear…Ugh, I just smiled and told her to go like that lol, you know Aunt Mimi, I love to wear my PJ’s all over. Comfortable and fashionable that’s my motto lol. She managed to find something to wear in that room that looks like a clothing explosion went off lol. And even made it to the concert on time, only Rita lol.
Poor Sophie has a cold, and when I talked to her on the phone today, she told me “Aunt Mimi, I have a told I don’t feel dood, I have a feber”, LOL..I love the way she talks !! The other day we checked out her Mattos (tomatoes) and her Roni tree (which she pulled off a few leaves and told me to eat them lol) Wait till you see what a little stinker she is, you just have to kiss her little miss bossy face.

I am so very glad and grateful to the Good Lord above that you and your family are coming home soon! We have been praying for your speedy recovery and all of our prayers have been answered. You are truly a delight and and inspiration to us all and your darling sisters are too. The three beautiful Musketeers will be back in AZ very soon! I loved the video your dad made, “Walking on Memphis.” It made me cry and I will think of you everytime I hear it on the radio. I will think about what a strong, smart, beautiful, inspiring little girl you are and I will continuously be thanking the Good Lord above for your successful recovery!

We enjoyed the Strings Cencert last night that was given in your honor. Both Kathy and Richy played in it. I know Kathy misses you very much and I miss seeing the three of you little cutie pies, you and as well as Aviana and Isabella, each time I’m either at Sequoya or Coccopah….
We will all have to have a big celebration upon your arrival back here in AZ!!!!
